Students of the College of Forestry Mechanization, Afaka, Kaduna, who were abducted by gunmen suspected to be bandits on March 11 have regained their freedom. .
According to a reliable source, the remaining 29 students of the College were released at a village in Giwa local government area of Kaduna State, yesterday.
Details of their release is however still sketchy as the police authority is yet to confirm the story. It is also not clear whether any further ransome was paid to the abductors to secure their release.
Parents and students of the institution had on Tuesday protested to the National Assembly on Tuesday seeking their intervention over the development.
The gunmen had earlier released 10 students of the institution after weeks of captivity.
