Skepta calls for support against injustice in Nigeria

British-Nigerian rapper Skepta has called on the international community to speak up against injustice in Nigeria, saying the country still faces serious social and economic challenges.

In a viral video shared on social media on Thursday, Skepta referenced the End SARS protests and said a recent phone memory reminded him of the demonstrations and ongoing concerns in Nigeria.

“There’s still so much injustice in Nigeria,” the rapper said, adding that he would continue to speak against injustice through his music, shows and public platforms.

Skepta also appealed for global solidarity, noting that Nigerians often support humanitarian causes in other countries and deserve similar support.

The rapper’s comments come amid renewed conversations around governance, accountability and economic hardship in Nigeria.
