FG pledges equal opportunities for children

The Federal Government on Wednesday reaffirmed its commitment to providing inclusive and quality education for every Nigerian child during the 2026 Children’s Day celebration at the Federal Ministry of Education headquarters in Abuja.

Minister of Education, Maruf Alausa, made the pledge while hosting children from different schools and backgrounds alongside disability advocate and actress Dera Osadebe.

Alausa said every Nigerian child deserves equal opportunities, quality education and support to achieve their dreams regardless of background or disability.

He added that the government remains committed to child development, inclusive education and safe learning environments under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The minister also urged children to remain confident, develop their talents and contribute positively to society.
