The government of Togo on Tuesday announced visa-free entry for citizens of all African countries, allowing travellers with valid passports to stay in the country for up to 30 days to promote regional integration and easier movement across the continent.
The announcement was made in a statement released by Togo’s Ministry of Security through its official X account.
According to the ministry, the new policy is aimed at strengthening African cooperation, mobility and economic collaboration.
The government described the decision as a major step towards deeper continental unity and openness.
“Togo takes a historic step in strengthening African integration,” the statement read.
Authorities added that the policy reflects the country’s commitment to making Togo a hub for opportunities, partnership and free movement within Africa.
