Abuja Pastor Remanded Over Alleged Rape of Minor

A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Gwarimpa, Abuja, on Thursday remanded the founder of Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Pastor Amos Isah, over the alleged rape of a 14-year-old church member, pending the submission of records relating to an earlier bail granted to him.

Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi gave the order after the 39-year-old cleric pleaded not guilty to an eight-count charge bordering on alleged rape, sexual exploitation, emotional abuse and abduction.

The prosecution alleged that the victim was lured into the church auditorium in Gwagwalada on May 26, 2025, where the pastor allegedly forced himself on her.

The court also heard that the defendant allegedly threatened the teenager and her family after giving her ₦3,000 for medication.

Justice Osho-Adebiyi adjourned the case until June 30, 2026, for continuation of hearing.
